Here is the book that started it all for me. I still have my copy, and I definitely got my money’s worth from it.
When I was ready to move on to more complex situations, I ended up getting an older version of this book from Wrox. It was definitely my favourite book. (my version is by Smith and Sussman. I have not read Denise’s version, but any Wrox book I have seen is worth it)
This is another book that I would want in my library if I was starting from scatch. I have the older MS Access 2000 version. There does not seem to be any versions newer than this 2002, but there is gold in here that can be applied to newer versions of MS Access as well.
If you are developing databases just for you, security may not be an issue. If you are creating for a workgroup, and there is a need for separate user IDs, then pick up Garry’s book. (for that matter, subscribe to his newsletter!!)
NOTE: I have not had the opportunity to read the following. They have received good reviews and Amazon says they are best sellers. Additionally, many are available in Kindle Wireless Reading Device format.
If you purchase any of them (or the ones above) please come back and leave a comment/review.
